OUR STORY
While working as a firefighter for the state of California and then as a volunteer for seven years I discovered my passion for serving the community and protecting people’s livelihoods. I felt like I was called to protect life and property from the threat of fire. In 2017 I felt helpless to the ravaging power of a fire that burned thousands of homes in my home town - including those belonging to members of my own family.
I felt called to do something to prevent this from happening again. But no firefighter, no matter how driven, can save thousands of homes single handedly. I started Covered in order to help project my voice to a larger audience, hoping to inform and protect people from the dangers of fires before they ever start.
